Join the US Chapter for its second edition of its Power Breakfast Series "Burner Tip Wars." Between coal, gas, and renewables, how will the US power system evolve over time? It’s hard to see coal as a "winner" in the modern world, but does natural gas indeed enjoy a competitive advantage, and if so, how does it compare to alternatives, and what regional differences exist? And longer term, how can its strengths be leveraged to support the development of renewable energy in a lower carbon world? Can the US demonstrate how gas and renewables can work hand in hand?

The presentation will be followed by a panel discussion on trends in regional power generating utilities and a Q&A session.

This event is the second of the four-part Power Breakfast Series, which will be held in Washington DC throughout 2019. This series will cover a range of topics giving attendees a broader understanding of the global oil and gas industry and provides networking opportunities for professionals in the private and government sectors.
