AIEN forms new Hydrogen, CCS and ESG Compliance Taskforces
As the global energy landscape evolves, the business strategies of our members’ companies and sponsors has shifted, and the scope of work our members are engaged in has become increasingly more complex. The increased interest in new energy sources and deployment of renewables poses unique challenges and demands, as well as opportunities, across all sections within the industry. Recognizing the importance of this industry transition, earlier this year, members overwhelming approved updates that expanded the association’s scope to include broader energy focus areas and a name change that reflects this expansion.
This initiative is moving forward with the establishment of three sustainability taskforces, now open online for participation by members and non-members. The purpose of these taskforces is to determine opportunities for existing and/or future model contracts, as well as potential development of educational offerings within the sphere of:
• Hydrogen,
• Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS), and
• ESG Compliance.
The taskforces will report their determinations to the AIEN Sustainability Taskforce and VP of Model Contracts and will also coordinate with the VP for External Affairs to work with other industry and professional organizations as appropriate.
Members and non-members are invited to join online. To join, please visit your Manage Individual Profile page from the “My Profile” page and click the “My Committees and Leadership Activities” tab (site username and password required). You may select the box next to the taskforce name(s) and select “Join”.
Thank you for volunteering your time and expertise in these areas. Your active participation and feedback are integral to ensuring AIEN delivers the highest-quality offerings to its members and can remain a relevant, valuable industry resource well into the future.
