AIPN-YN Europe Chapter Event "UK Oil and Gas Law: Current Practice and Emerging Trends Book Review"Thursday, January 10, 2019 (6pm - 9:30pm Europe/London) Saville Club 69 Brook Street, Mayfair London W1K 4ER United Kingdom |
Please join the AIPN-YN Europe Chapter to review the UK Oil and Gas Law: Current Practice and Emerging Trends, edited by three leading experts on oil and gas law, Greg Gordon, John Paterson, and Emre Üșenmez of Aberdeen University.
In recent years, a great deal has changed in the oil and gas industry, from legal and regulatory change to falling oil prices. The contemporary oil and gas industry is now intensely focused on cost-saving and the UK has radically redrawn its revenue-raising expectations.
This updated third edition of UK Oil and Gas Law has been published in two volumes. This volume focuses on resource management and regulatory law, while the other volume deals with commercial and contract law issues. The twin volumes bring together academic and practicing lawyers, mainly based in Aberdeen, Europe’s Energy Capital, to consider the key regulatory and commercial dimensions of an ever-changing hydrocarbon province.
Enjoy a brief introduction to the book by the editors and a lovely evening with fellow colleagues and friends at the prestigious Saville Club. Wine, drinks, and canapes will be served.
Online registration has been closed. On-site registration will be on a space available basis, and is $20 for members and non-members and $15 for students. Please contact yaf@lawxl.com for more information.
