James Larmouth, Head of Carbon Trading, Vitol
Notwithstanding the challenges faced in finalizing Article 6 of the Paris Agreement, across the globe regulated carbon markets continue to grow in number, scale and activity; their primary purpose, being a tool for governments, is to manage national or sub-national emissions by pricing a negative externality.
The Asia Pacific (APAC) region is large and characterized by many disparate emissions schemes at differing maturity levels. Many schemes are newly formed and navigating the ever-changing regulatory landscape of carbon taxes, Emissions Trading Schemes (ETS’s), and hybrid constructs, which can be challenging.
This event aims to provide an overview of recent developments in APAC carbon markets and an understanding of why these schemes are emerging so rapidly.
Registration is complimentary for members, $50 for non-members, and $30 for non-member students.
Please register at the link to the right by March 27. Onsite registration will be available.
