8:00 - 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 17, 2019
White & Case LLP | 701 Thirteenth Street, NW, Multipurpose Room, 11th Floor Washington, DC 20005
Khary Cauthen, VP Federal Government Affairs, Cheniere Energy, Inc.
Join the US Chapter for "Pivoting on Liquefied Natural Gas: How the USA Turned from an Importer to a Major Exporter." More than one decade ago the US was expected to be the back-stop buyer for international LNG projects ranging from South America, Africa, and Europe to the Middle East. Today, the USA has pivoted from an importer to being poised to become one of the largest LNG exporting countries in the world, as US-sourced LNG is proving its viability as a global source of energy across several continents. The event will discuss what has changed over the years and how might these new natural gas supplies from the US change the dynamics of global gas supply. The presentation will be followed by a panel discussion on global LNG trends and Q&A.
This event is the first of the four-part Power Breakfast Series, which will be held in Washington DC throughout 2019. This series will cover a range of topics giving attendees a broader understanding of the global oil and gas industry and provides networking opportunities for professionals in the private and government sectors.
Online registration is now closed. On-site registration will be on a space available basis, and is $20 for members, $30 for non-members, and $10 for students. Please contact bloemw@hotmail.com for more information.
