Nick Sharma is the Executive Director, Upstream Research at IHS Markit and brings close to 20 years upstream experience. Nick’s focus in the region is to develop tailored research on Asia Pacific regional issues, and Asia Pacific clients, for the upstream value chain. Prior to joining IHS Markit, Mr. Sharma worked across the entire value chain of the upstream industry, from drilling to engineering design, as well as in an operations capacity for a period of ten years. Nick holds a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering from Curtin University of Technology, Western Australia, and a post-graduate degree in oil & gas engineering from the University of Western Australia.
Rachel Calvert is the Associate Director of IHS Markit Upstream Energy’s E&P Terms and Above-Ground Risk capability, based in Singapore. She co-leads the team responsible for developing country and sub-national hydrocarbon sector risk forecasts for long-term energy investments across oil and gas producing and frontier countries. Rachel brings over 10 years of experience in above-ground risk analysis in Asia Pacific, having worked across the region. Rachel holds a Master of Arts in Political Science from Johns Hopkins University.
