Ricardo Silva is a Partner and Co-head of Energy at Miranda & Associados (Miranda Law Firm) in Lisbon, Portugal. He has been extensively involved in representing IOCs, NOCs and regulators in upstream oil & gas, and LNG, refinery and downstream projects in Africa and South East Asia, and was head of the legal team advising the Timor-Leste leadership on oil & gas matters during the maritime boundary conciliation and negotiations, and during the subsequent transitional negotiations required to bring the Treaty into force. He is a past Chair of the ABA Section of International Law’s Africa Committee, and Vice-Chair of its International Energy and Natural Resources Committee, and currently serves as AIPN Vice President of Membership.
