Paul Lucchese, President of International Technological Cooperation Programme (TCP) on Hydrogen, International Energy Agency (IEA)
Christian de Perthuis, Economist, Paris Dauphine University
Pierre Laboué, Head of International Relations - France Hydrogène
Daniel Simmons, Head Low Carbon Gas, ENGIE Global Energy Management & Sales

Since 2020, national hydrogen strategies have been developed in around fifty countries, accompanied by action plans financed by public money. This has led to very active communication on hydrogen and its derivatives (ammonia, methanol, etc.) between importing countries (Germany, Netherlands, Japan, etc.) and exporting countries (Australia, Gulf States, Latin America, Morocco, Namibia, etc.). However, the lack of a relevant international regulatory framework, weak demand for low-carbon hydrogen and difficulties in financing projects are slowing down final investment decisions, despite the large number of projects in the study phase.

Join us for this event brought to you by our Europe Chapter to hear from our expert panelists as they provide an opportunity to take stock of the situation and discuss the emergence of a new geopolitics in terms of power relations, interdependence and hydrogen diplomacy.
