Veronica Rezende Coelho, is a Senior Vice President, currently in Brazil heading the Equinor Brazil organization. In this capacity, Coelho advises Equinor’s Executive Management on broad range of strategic issues, aiming at safe and profitable business for the group in the region.
Coelho has been with Equinor for about 17 years, with a variety of positions in Brazil and at the Headquarters in Norway.
Prior to joining Statoil, Coelho was a Senior Manager at Deloitte Consulting, specialized in the Brazil Oil and Gas regulatory & fiscal framework. As such, Coelho worked with various clients in the O&G value chain to build and execute business strategies for their Brazil operations, advisory on commercial matters and insight on strategic topics.
Coelho received a B.S. in Business Management from the Fluminense Federal University in Rio de Janeiro and specialized in Financial and Commercial Regulations for International Business Transactions.
Daniela Davila, is a pioneer in the legislation and regulatory aspects of the oil and gas sector in Brazil. Starting her career in the same year as the publication of the Petroleum Law in 1997, Daniela, representing Petrobras, played a notable role in structuring financing unprecedented projects for the development of oil and natural gas fields in Brazil, which would become a reference for this type of transaction in the country.
In the E&P (Exploration & Production) sector, Daniela advises several clients on acquisitions of offshore and onshore O&G assets in Brazil. It is currently involved in several acquisitions involving the Petrobras Divestment Program, ranging from acquisition of mature fields to natural gas transportation pipelines.
She also advises oil and gas companies with interests in concession and production sharing contracts on administrative/regulatory matters with the National Petroleum Agency (ANP), having advised companies since the ANP's "Round Zero".
Daniela is also recognized for her pioneering practice in the offshore industry, having as clients several companies in the first supply chain (owners of rigs and platforms/FPSOs). Added to this is his experience in charter contracts and operation of FRSUs and LNG-to-Power projects.
Lucila (Luli) Hemmingsen, is a commercially-driven international disputes lawyer that consistently aims to obtain efficient and effective client-focused results. She is dual-qualified in civil and common law and her practice focuses on cross-border dispute resolution, investigations and public international law matters, with a particular emphasis in Latin America. Luli advises and represents clients in high-stakes matters conducted in English, Spanish and Portuguese. Her experience of over two decades runs a broad gamut of industries, including infrastructure and construction, renewable energy, mining, LNG, oil and gas, retail, finance and investments, real estate, international trade, and tax (including implications of OECD measures).
Most recently, Luli has been tapped as a go-to expert for all matters related to energy transition and new technologies, including hydrogen, carbon credits, carbon capture, batteries, electrification, etc., guiding clients from inception (identifying and mitigating potential risks), throughout the life of the project, and when disputes arise. Luli also accepts arbitrator appointments in international disputes.
Danielle Valois joined the Firm in 1999 and became partner in 2011. As a principal, she heads the Oil & Gas Practice in Brazil.
Her practice is focused on energy cross-border transactions. She has a wide breadth of experience providing legal, regulatory and commercial support on M&A, international trades, Oil & Gas and infrastructure development projects, disputes, anti-corruption and sanction advice, policymaking and corporate governance. Danielle is accredited as a lawyer in Brazil and has a vast experience in working in international projects with multiple jurisdictions.
Ana Lúcia Zambelli holds a Bachelor in Mechanical Engineer by the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, in Brazil and a Master in Petroleum Engineer by the Heriot-Watt University, in the UK. Additionally, she is post-graduated in Digital Business & Transformation by the Columbia University in the USA.
Claudia Zacour, is a lawyer specializing in the Energy sector, with a postgraduate degree in Business Law and Petroleum from COPPEAD/UFRJ. Claudia began her career in law firms and in the capital market. At Petrobras, Claudia managed the Exploration and Production legal department and the Mergers and Acquisitions legal department. Claudia then moved to the Company's Mergers and Acquisitions business department, where she was responsible for managing the divestment program's project portfolio, as well as the relationship with public administration entities. In December 2019, Claudia became the Executive Manager of Corporate Governance at Petrobras. Since 2023, Claudia has been managing the post-closing area of M&A operations in the company's Gas and Energy Transition department.
