William (Bill) Haskett
As Managing Director of Haskett Consulting International, Bill is an advisor, coach, instructor, and project enabler for companies and governments globally. He is a long-time instructor of courses in risk, uncertainty management, business decision-making, and global gas strategies. Over thirty-eight years in the extended Energy Industry, he has facilitated and advised on exploration and major capital projects on six continents. He received the SPE International Award for Management and Information, and the Decision Analysis Society Practice Award for thought leadership in the Energy industry. Bill graduated from McMaster University (Geology) and the University of Calgary’s Haskayne School of Business (Finance and Organizational Development).
Chris Moore
Chris Moore is the Managing Director, Moyes & Co., Inc., has over 40 years of experience evaluating international energy projects. He provides global energy consulting on a wide variety of financial and economic issues including business and strategic planning, decision analysis, funding support, transaction management, and arbitration and expert witness testimony. Chris has taught courses on Exploration Economics, Reserves Estimation, and Uncertainty and Decision Analysis to several hundred professionals. Chris was recently appointed an Adjunct Professor in the University of Texas School of Law where he lectures postgraduates in oil and gas fiscal systems and valuation methods.
Chris began his career with BP in 1975 as a Geologist in Aberdeen and later moved to London and Tunis. He joined Tricentrol in London in 1980, and Atlantic Richfield (ARCO) in
1988 as Planning Manager for ARCO British. He subsequently held a variety of positions with ARCO’s international headquarters in Plano, Texas, with responsibilities for global exploration evaluation, upstream financial and strategic planning, and economic analysis. His final jobs with ARCO were Bohai Bay Asset Manager and Manager of the China Asset Development Team for ARCO China. Moore is a Fellow of the Geological Society of London and a member of the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators (AIPN), the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG), and the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE). Moore read Natural Sciences at Cambridge University and received his BA (Hons) in 1975 and his MA (Cantab) in 1979.
Steve Parish
Steve is a Senior Petroleum Economist with more than 20 years’ experience in the international upstream petroleum industry. He contributes to the legal, fiscal, and contractual modules of IHS PEPS information service and is highly experienced in the analysis of upstream petroleum fiscal regimes. He also specializes in cash flow evaluations, economic analysis, and investment appraisal, and has significant expertise in the preparation and development of computer-based fiscal models.
Steve has been with IHS since 1996 and previously worked for UK-based E&P companies with extensive international portfolios of upstream petroleum assets.
Steve has a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and gained an MBA in 1987. His experience includes a wide range of projects both onshore and offshore and from exploration through to acquisition and disposal.
