Hiral D. Mehta, a seasoned trial lawyer and a former federal prosecutor, with more than a decade of government experience, including serving as Chief of the Business & Securities Fraud Section in the US Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York, represents clients in high-stakes criminal and regulatory investigations and complex civil litigation.  His deep understanding of government operations helps clients navigate crises efficiently and effectively.
 
As a federal prosecutor, Hiral tried over a dozen federal cases, including several white-collar trials, and led and oversaw hundreds of investigations of individuals and institutions, including, most recently, the FCPA and export control violations prosecution of Raytheon in a $1 billion corporate resolution, the FCPA prosecution of Gunvor in a $660 million corporate resolution, and the trial conviction of Javier Aguilar, a Vitol trader, on FCPA, money laundering and Travel Act charges.
 
Now in private practice, Hiral represents clients in commercial and securities litigation matters, focusing on trials, hearings, and arbitrations, conducts internal investigations, represents companies and executives in regulatory inquiries, and assists clients dealing with subpoenas and enforcement actions from state and federal authorities. Hiral also advises clients on due diligence and risk assessments for investments, mergers, and acquisitions, with a focus on anti-corruption, anti-money laundering, and regulatory compliance.

Chantal Carriere is an associate in the Project Development and Finance Practice in the Firm's Houston office. She represents clients in complex domestic and international projects and commercial transactions, including project development and construction, joint ventures and investments, and commercial contracts for energy and energy transition projects, including upstream oil & gas (both onshore and offshore), LNG, power, biodiesel, hydrogen, carbon capture and storage, renewable energy and petrochemical. Chantal serves on the US Chapter Committee and the Young Negotiators committee of the Association of International Energy Negotiators.
