Neema Shayo, is an energy policy, markets, and regulations specialist with extensive knowledge of the sector in Tanzania and the African region. She has worked as an advisor on rural electrification projects, power utilities turn around, regulations and stakeholder management. Neema has also contributed designing financing solutions for renewable energy projects between private and public sectors (PPP) in Tanzania. Neema has worked with international organizations and private sector institutions such as the Royal Norwegian Embassy, Department for International Development (DFID/FCDO) and EMjee Development Consultants.
She holds a master`s degree in International Energy Studies and Finance from the University of Dundee (UK), a Bachelor of Laws (Hon) from the University of Dar es Salaam and a Post Graduate Diploma in Economic Diplomacy from the renowned Tanzania-Mozambique Centre for Foreign Relations.
Neema is an alumnus of the Global Women Network for the Energy Transition (GWNET) mentorship program hosted by the Germany Federal Ministry of Economic and Energy Affairs.
Chinedu Igwe, is the Head of Sustainability at NNPC Limited, Nigeria's premier national energy company. With a degree in electrical and electronics engineering from the Federal University of Technology Owerri and executive education from London Business School and Harvard Business School, Chinedu is driving NNPC’s sustainability transformation.
With over 18 years in the energy sector, Chinedu’s career began as a Control Systems Engineer and progressed through various strategic roles. Now, he leads NNPC’s efforts to become a global energy leader by 2031, focusing on sustainability excellence, greenhouse gas reduction, energy efficiency, and low carbon energy.
Chinedu represents NNPC in national and international climate change forums, engaging with government entities, environmental NGOs, and the international community. His strategic vision and negotiation skills are key to advancing NNPC's sustainability initiatives.
Committed to sustainable energy development, Chinedu Igwe is steering NNPC towards a future where sustainability is integral to its operations, contributing significantly to Nigeria’s Net Zero targets.
Gadi Taj Ndahumba, is Chief Legal Counsel at the African Legal Support Facility (ALSF), an international organization hosted by the African Development Bank Group. He is responsible for the implementation of ALSF’s transactional support to African governments in the energy and sovereign finance sectors. The ALSF’s work spams across the African continent and has been supporting the efforts to tackle the energy deficit through conventional and innovative technologies.
Prior to joining the ALSF, Mr. Ndahumba was a project finance lawyer at a top-tier Canadian law firm, where he worked in the energy and infrastructure sectors. During his time in private practice, he advised several leading renewable energy companies as Canada began to diversify its energy sources.
Mr. Ndahumba is a lawyer and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). He holds a Juris Doctor and Bachelor of Civil Laws from McGill University, a bachelor’s degree in political science (international relations) from Université of Québec in Montréal and certificate of liberal studies from the Waseda University in Tokyo.
Gabrielle Finger, is Commercial Manager for Storegga (Houston, TX) working on Carbon Capture and Sequestration projects globally.
Previously, Gabrielle was Senior Commercial Advisor for Chevron New Energies (Houston, TX) working on Carbon Capture and Sequestration projects along the US Gulf Coast, focused on the Bayou Bend Project in the Golden Triangle region. Prior to the Chevron-Noble merger, Gabrielle worked as an international commercial advisor at Noble Energy for 10 years, working on various west Africa assets in Equatorial Guinea and Cameroon, focused on monetizing the Alen gas field through the EG Gas Mega Hub and the Yoyo-Yolanda cross border development. Commercially, Gabrielle has negotiated a wide range of agreements, including farmout agreements, unitization contracts/bilateral treaty, joint operating agreements, condensate/LPG/LNG sales agreements, joint venture agreements, capture and sequestration agreements, and various government granting instruments.
Gabrielle is a graduate of the Emerging Leaders Program at Chevron(2023), has an MBA from the University of Houston, and a BA from Washington University in St Louis. She is fluent in Spanish, knows enough French to be dangerous.
Gabrielle is the current Vice President of New Energies for AIEN.
