Sarah Kazmi is an Oil & Gas Lawyer from Pakistan. She completed her LLB in 2007 and was called to the Bar in England & Wales in 2008. She is an Advocate of the High Courts of Pakistan and a Partner at Energy Resource Management, a firm based in Islamabad Pakistan, providing legal consulting and capacity building training to energy companies. Sarah has experience in, transactional, dispute and regulatory matters in the upstream oil and gas sector including, cross border M & A, litigation matters, petroleum concession documents, representing E & P companies before regulatory authorities, and advising local and foreign drilling, oilfield and G & G service companies.
Heike Trischmann earned a BSc/MSc in Biology from the University of Leipzig, Germany, and a PhD in Biotechnology/Bioengineering from the Academy of Sciences, Berlin, Germany. She became a legal practitioner in England and Wales in 2001 and is now a Partner in the Corporate group of Watson Farley & Williams, London.
Heike specialises in all aspects of oil and gas law and has also been involved in electricity and water projects. She has acted for governments, national oil companies as well as junior and major oil and gas companies, banks, energy trading companies, regulators and individual investors in more than 40 countries worldwide on a broad range of international and domestic corporate, commercial, regulatory and projects work in the oil and gas industry.
Heike regularly advises on production-sharing agreements, concessions and licence arrangements, M&A and farm-ins, joint operating agreements, oil, gas and LNG supply, transportation, storage and access agreements, trading and other commercial contracts, and the underlying regulatory regimes in the relevant jurisdictions as part of investments in the petroleum industry.
Heike is a member of the Law Society of England & Wales and the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators (AIPN) where she was recently appointed as chair of the regional sub-committee on course & training. Heike has been recognised as a leading lawyer by Who’s Who Legal: Energy 2017, 2018 and 2019.
Sara Malik has an LLB from University of London, LLM in Energy Law and Policy from CEPMLP-University of Dundee and a Masters’ in Public Administration - Economic Policy Management from Columbia University.
With around 10 years of experience in the energy industry, working with governments, national oil companies, and international oil companies, Sara has been involved in various cross functional projects including Energy Policy Analysis, Regulatory Governance & Compliance, Business Development, M&A/Due Diligence, and Strategic Growth Plans.
Sara is the Co-Chair for the AIPN Pakistan Steering Committee and currently works as an Associate Director – Consulting, with IHS Markit in Houston.
