Paul Greening advises a range of clients—including private equity and fund investors, project sponsors and developers—on international energy, utilities and infrastructure projects. The bulk of his practice includes energy-related, cross-border transactions; oil and gas contracts; project development; and associated maritime law advice.
More specifically, Paul handles energy matters related to LNG, including natural gas and LNG sale and purchase agreements and LNG project development. His clients value his hands-on approach and deep understanding of complex commercial issues specific to the industry. Paul helps clients maximize their returns while keeping close watch on the keen interest that regulators in key markets have taken in LNG sale terms.
Euan Strachan advises clients on a wide range of corporate transactions including domestic and international mergers and acquisitions (M&A), private equity, joint ventures, restructurings, incorporations, contracting and procurement, as well as general commercial matters.
Additionally, Euan frequently advises clients operating in the energy sector. He has experience in both upstream and downstream work, as well as power generation.
Prior to joining the firm, Euan worked for a private practice law firm in the Middle East. Prior to commencing his legal career, he worked at a gas processing terminal in Scotland.
Andrew Duncan has a background in Facilities Engineering, with over 30 years’ of worldwide experience including at several international operating companies. He is an experienced project manager who has held a wide range of senior leadership roles within Southeast Asia, especially Indonesia. Andrew has experience of acquisitions and divestments in his NBD roles for various operators and with GaffneyCline.
Phillip Solomon is a Principal Advisor, Commercial and Project Finance with GaffneyCline based in our Singapore office. He has over 27 years of worldwide experience in the energy sector, including international operating companies, major equipment manufacturers and oilfield service companies. Where he has held multiple executive leadership positions. Phillip specialises in structuring and facilitating commercial agreements, Joint Venture commercial negotiations, agreements, Production Planning and Capital Management, Asset sales and purchases, Lifting, storage, transportation, sales and marketing agreements and commercial advisory and asset monetization.
Phillip actively participates and represents GaffneyCline at industry fora such as AJBCC, AmCham and APEC trade discussions.
Phillip is a Chartered Engineer in Australia, holds a B.Eng(Civil)(Hons) from RMIT University, an MBA from University of South Australia and a Diploma in Resource Economics from UCL.
Mike Cline leads GaffneyCline’s Corporate Strategy Group and has over 30 years experience, including senior advisory engagements for national oil companies and sovereign institutions. He develops the commercial and legal frameworks for foreign private investment and integrated project development in their oil and gas sectors.
